Rules & Regulations
Rental Requirements:
You must be at least 25 years old and have a valid US driver’s license to rent from us. Also, Florida law requires that anyone born after January 1, 1988, possess a Florida Boating License to operate a power-driven vessel of more than 10hp. Boat-ed provides an online course for you to obtain the necessary license. Once you have the license, please email a copy to sales@30awatersport.com . Failure to provide a copy of the license may result in forfeiture rental charges.
Fuel:
We provide a full tank of fuel. It is sufficient for a normal day of boating. Additional fuel to is the renter’s responsibility to procure. Any cost for towing, fuel delivery or late return due to running out of fuel is to renter’s account.
Safely Operating the Pontoon:
Pontoon vessels are unique. The way they must be operated sets them apart from other types of vessels. The person operating the vessel must understand how to do it safely. Please watch the manufacturer’s video below related the vessel you have chartered. Detailed instruction will be given once you board the vessel
Diving:
While we want everyone to enjoy the water. DIVING FROM THE VESSEL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The bay is shallow. Diving and striking the bottom may result in paralysis or death.
Passengers:
The vessel is limited to nine (9) passengers for the Sea Doo Switch and eleven (11) passengers on the Sun Tracker. Any person, regardless of age is considered a passenger by the US Coast Guard. If you employ a Captain, they are also considered a passenger.
Alcohol:
Operating a vessel while under the influence of alcohol is not only dangerous, but also illegal. The US Coast Guard and the Florida State Marine patrol regularly patrol the bay area and issue stiff penalties that can include jail time as well as fines. IF YOU ARE THE OPERATOR, DON’T DRINK! IF you want to drink, you should consider hiring a captain.
